Entry Form [pdf] [doc]

The New England Sale is gearing up for another record year in 2011!

Mark your calendar now and note that the New England Sale is being held a week earlier this year to make it easier for people to attend 2 great events on the east coast, back to back. The All American Junior Show will have just concluded in Harrington, Delaware.

The sale committee wishes to extend an invitation  to all breeders to enter their favorite breed. The consignors have been providing exceptional quality breeding sheep for sale over recent years and these sheep are commanding good prices from the buyers. Classes are offered for rams  and ewes of all registered breeds. Southdowns will be the feature this year as the New England Sale is hosting the National Southdown Sale.

A special division for for “wether-dam ewes” will be continued. A Champion and Reserve Champion will be selected from all of the wether-dam classes. These classes will show and sell in the normal breed order at the end of the show and sale.

We will continue to offer our unique sale attractions that you have come to associate with the New England Sale:

  • Champion Cash Jackpots
  • $100 awards for Supreme Champion Ram and Ewe
  • Open to all breeds
  • Late lamb classes and a bred ewe division
  • Lower entry fees ($15 for ewes) and overall costs
  • Used sheep equipment auction
  • Buyer’s raffle for sale credits up to $200
  • Friday night family barbecue
  • Ice Cream Social during Supreme Champion selection
  • Northeast Youth Sheep Show (Friday through Sunday) in which sheep purchased at the sale are eligible to be shown in the breed classes.

We will be promoting the sale heavily and guarantee that the sale catalog will be available by the time of the Midwest Stud Ram Sale! In order for us to accomplish this please respect the April 20 entry deadline. We will accept late entries but they may not appear in the sale catalog. Also, take a look at affordable advertising in our sale catalog. Promote your breeding program and entries to the 2011 New England Sale!

The break dates for lamb classes are as follows:

CATALOG ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY

OUR GUARANTEE: The catalog will be available by the time of the Midwest Stud Ram Sale (mid June).

Like you, we’re looking for an effective low-cost way to promote our product. We run ads in the big sheep magazines, but that only goes so far and we’re surrounded by lots of competition. So we publish our own sale catalog (4,000 copies) and distribute it to everyone we can. And since it’s a sale catalog, people who read it are people who are looking to buy sheep and sheep-related products. It works great! For you, it’s better still because it’s low-cost and low-stress. You sketch out what you want to say and we do the rest. We typeset the ad and send you a proof copy for your approval.   For $70, you can introduce thousands of sheep producers to your Farm, products or services. Now is a good time to take advantage of a good deal. Try advertising in the 2011 New England Sale Catalog.  This catalog will also be available  on the NESWGA website www.nesheep.org and also linked from most breed organizations
